A series of drawings exhibited as part of “What is Home?” solo exhibition.

After living out of a suitcase for several years, my idea and concept of home became a transitory experience. Travel has increasingly opened my eyes to colour, and the incorporation of colour into my work. ‘Lines of Desire’ makes reference to desire lines — an architectural term for creating pathways using unplanned shortcuts instead of a provided path. These drawings are snapshots of place – colourful emotional responses to my environment, a mapping of place through colour and line.
