Jilly Goes North – Steve White & Jilly Morris

60min documentary film

A collaborative film, made by award winning film-maker Steve White and artist Jilly Morris, documents the experience of being an artist in residence for one year in a remote, rural setting in Northumberland. Using a series of video diaries edited together with shots of the artist at work, the surrounding landscape, and interaction with the local community, it conveys first-hand what an artist experiences when living and working in an isolated hill farming community.
